Overview

The technology diploma (DUT) in agricultural seed production trains technicians for the seed sector. Students learn to multiply improved varieties, manage seed plots, test seed lots for purity and germination, then clean, treat, package and store seed.

Since quality seed is the first condition for a good harvest, these technicians play a key role in improving yields.

Curriculum

First year (S1-S2): botany, genetics, soil science, basic agronomy, applied mathematics, computing.

Second year (S3-S4): plant breeding, seed technology, quality control, crop protection, seed regulations and marketing, internship in a seed company.
