Overview

The technology diploma (DUT) in organic fertiliser production trains technicians who can turn crop residues, animal manure and organic waste into quality fertilisers. Students learn composting, manure management, vermicomposting and biofertiliser production.

These techniques restore soil fertility at low cost, reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers and open up opportunities in agricultural entrepreneurship.

  • Run a composting site and check compost maturity.

  • Manage the technical and financial side of a production unit.

Curriculum

First year (S1-S2): soil biology, agricultural chemistry, basic agronomy, microbiology, composting techniques, applied mathematics, computing.

Second year (S3-S4): organic crop fertilisation, vermicomposting, biofertilisers, quality control, entrepreneurship and marketing, farm or company internship.
